How Can arthritis Pain In The Leg Be Treated?

I have pain in the right side of my buttocks, running down my right leg. Had an xray and was told there were no issues other than some arthritis occurring. Pain is consistent but mild and other times it can be very painful. I warm pack, cold pack and use a Tens unit but it does not go away. What can I do to get relief from the pain?
